Coming Back to Our Roots in Elgin, Texas

It’s official—we’re coming home! After years of dreaming, planning, and growing, Rock Bottom Ranch is finally taking root in the heart of Texas. This isn’t just a move; it’s the realization of a dream that has transformed our lives. We’re thrilled to begin this journey back in Elgin, a community that feels like the perfect blend of our city and country roots.

 

Finding Our Passion and Purpose

The story of Rock Bottom Ranch began during the pandemic. What started as a small passion project for Chris and me quickly grew into something much bigger. It reconnected us to the land, our values, and the sense of community we cherish. But like so many, life pulled us in different directions. I returned to the corporate world, working 60-80 hour weeks. Though grateful for the opportunities, I felt disconnected from the things that truly mattered—my family, friends, and this incredible dream.​

 

Why Elgin? The Perfect Home for Rock Bottom Ranch

Elgin, lovingly known as the “Sausage Capital of Texas,” is where our worlds truly come together. While I’m a Houstonian through and through, Chris grew up helping his grandfather on a cattle ranch in West Texas. Elgin’s warm, welcoming community and rich history felt like the ideal place to raise our daughter, Ella, and to grow our dream. This March, our family will officially return to Texas, ready to reconnect with old friends, family, and this incredible community.

​​Rock Bottom Ranch is more than just a venue or farmstand—it’s a vision for a simpler, more connected way of life. Here’s what we’re bringing to the table:

• Farmstand Offerings: Fresh eggs, seasonal vegetables, herbs, handmade bouquets, and other delightful treats.

• Venue Space: A magical setting nestled in a stunning pecan orchard at Yegua Creek Farm, perfect for weddings, community events, and intimate gatherings.

Building Rock Bottom Ranch is a journey of heart and hard work. From designing a charming venue to preparing the land, every detail reflects our commitment to creating a welcoming space for our community. We’re excited to announce that we’ll begin booking events starting later in 2025. Whether it’s a wedding, family reunion, or local gathering, we can’t wait to share our space with you.

This dream wouldn’t be complete without my best friend, Tina, who is joining us as in our journey. With Tina’s creativity and passion, the possibilities feel limitless. Together, we’re turning Rock Bottom Ranch into more than just a venue—it’s a true community hub where people can connect, celebrate, and thrive. I am very excited to introduce you to other local companies and farmers in the area.
